Notice: Adrienne Frost

Some people may already know this, but there was an incident today while volunteering at the soup kitchen. Adrienne Frost came into contact with an unknown mutant who was suffering some kind of medical issue. While trying to help him, he inadvertently caused a reaction with Adrienne's powers, amplifying them many many times beyond what she could handle.

As a result, Adrienne has been transported to Muir Island in a telepathic coma. Until they can reverse the effects, she must remain in her comatose state to survive. The staff at Muir at the best in the world and if anyone can help her, it's them. Unfortunately, due to the nature of her powers, it could correct itself tomorrow, next month, next year... or never. And before people start making offers, Moira assured me that if any of our resident geniuses or telepaths can help, she'll be in touch while she develops her treatment strategy.

Also, I want to make this clear, there is absolutely no signs, hints or proof that this was anything other than an unfortunate accident. The mutant involved is in a local hospital, has no record of any kind of association with any one hostile to the school or Adrienne, and has agreed to participate in whatever tests we need him to. This was an accident. Just a stupid, fucking accident-

So, if you have any questions, direct them at Muir. I'm told that she's left information for her colleagues in the agency and related to her business. If you're effected and you don't hear anything in the next few days, let me know.

Today and Spiders

I'm sure everyone noticed the sudden spider invasion today. A couple of the kids somehow picked up a magic card game that released them (no one's fault except whoever cursed the cards). Amanda has them now, and is looking into it. We're going to check out the store and see what we can figure out.

Feel free to ask any questions, but I can't promise answers.

Also, I haven't seen the library since I ran out of it over an hour ago, but I'm assuming it's in shambles, so that'll be closed for the foreseeable future.

Fashion Final

Spring break from fashion school begins this weekend! Or more like, free week to work on my final. I love my final project, and I want to keep doing fashion as art. Maybe have a few select clients that I design for. However, I don't think I'll love fashion as a M-F/8-5 career.

Or maybe it's just the stress of graduating (May 17!!) getting to me.

Magic 101

I live. And since it's been a while and we've had a few magic-related mishaps recently, I figured it's time for another talk. Tomorrow evening, in the rec room after dinner. There will be a powerpoint presentation on "Don't Touch The Thing."

Congrats to the Advanced First Aid Students

After a hard exam last Friday, I am happy to tell you that all six students passed the Advanced First Aid course.

If you could not join in this time, but are interested, let me know. No problem to run the course again later this year.

Um, so yeah, this is sort of embarrassing. Sorry for the fright we gave you lot - the magic class and I (plus Billy) had a bit of a magical fuck up yesterday and managed to get shrunk down to the size of bugs. As you can see, we managed to fix it, but it took a while and a few adventures to get there.

We're all fine now? Barring the need to eat everything in the kitchen, that is...

Wing Warmers 3.1

67 days until spring. I have updated my Wing Warmers design to be lighter and warmer. Unfortunately, they still interfere with flying, but I don't think that can be avoided. 3.1, or "Ibiza" as I'm calling it, releases more quickly if you need to suddenly take off, though.

X-Mas Eve

For those of you sticking around the mansion this year, Harry just informed me that the Hideaway is throwing a Christmas bash on Christmas Eve. Should be mostly the regulars. I don't know what makes it especially Christmas-y... maybe he'll replace the swizzle sticks with candy canes or something. But regardless. he plans to kick it off about eight if anyone else is interested.

I apparently showered with a pumpkin for five minutes before I noticed it. This holiday is getting weirder.

Anyhow, if you don't know what to do with the pumpkins infesting your leaving space, there's a big wooden crate in the grounds truck in the garage that you can dump them into. I got off the phone with Clara's Bakery in Salem Center and Xavier's is officially sponsoring providing dessert via pumpkin pies to the local shelters and soup kitchens in the area. I'll drive them over after work tomorrow, so you have until then.

Update on the Advanced First Aid Course

We'll be starting Friday, so if you'd want to join us, last chance to sign up! We have six people so far.

I'm also looking if there is a chance for you to take to take the Certified First Responder exam, so let me know if you are interested in this.

Advanced first aid course

Hi everyone,

Next week Ms. Ferguson and I will start teaching an advanced first aid course. It's not just for Gen X members, but for everyone at the mansion who is interested.

It wil cover many elements taught in the Emergency Medical Response course offered by the American Red Cross, along with some bits and pieces of the Combat Lifesaver program taught in the military. Dr. Grey will also be giving one or two evenings about mutant specific first aid.

If you want to take a look at the book we'll be using, take a look here.

Urgent - Julian Keller

Julian Keller has sustained a serious injury and will be in the medical lab for the time being. The medical staff will be occupied with his care for at least a few days. If you need something let us know, however, and we will try to get to you when we have a free moment.

I will give further updates as they're available.

I don't know how to do this or what's necessary so bear with me. Some of the kids were kidnapped to another dimension, some more of the kids tried to go rescue them. Everyone who ended up over there is home now and...mostly alright.

Maya Lincoln-Lopez is unconscious in the med lab, not entirely certain what happened there but from what I've gathered she was possessed - or something like that. I'll give her a look over and Amanda can probably do a better job of that when she gets home. Hopefully being out of that world will help.

The kids we rescued who aren't ours have been dropped at a police station so they can be returned to their parents. Think we found the cause of all the recent kidnappings.

Any questions ask...someone preferably not me because my head is killing me and I can't think, but if someone wants to ask me you'd be better off waiting until tomorrow.

The telepaths, Hope, Meggan, and Topaz were just subjected to some bizarre astral activity. No need for a security alert, it looks like some kind of natural phenomena rather than an attack. We've already dealt with it. I've contacted the professor and he'll be returning from Washington early tomorrow for follow-up. If you work in the Medlab don't be surprised if you start seeing people show up with headaches.

Leaving for the Weekend

I'll be out of town this weekend attending a conference in Washington. I'll be reachable in case of emergency, and will return late Sunday.

Hello All-

Because of the increase in med lab staff, Amelia Voght has decided to relocate to Muir Island to work with Moira, where she feels her skills are more required. She'll still be readily available for help in the event of an emergency.

Did anyone notice this in the Chronicle?

If you turn page 3 upside down and let your eyes go all blurry, a puzzle appears. At least, I think it's a puzzle. Maybe it's not supposed to be one, but it's interesting.

I also enjoyed the story about the fashion designer. I wonder if they've ever been into eVolution? I may have met them.

Movie Marathon Time?

So, with all the Star Wars fever going on, for the education of those of us who haven't actually seen this epic yet, how about a marathon movie session this weekend? Start Friday night with the first three, continue Saturday night with the second three? If there's the set up for it - and hey, we live in a mansion and there's plenty of tech geeks, so there probably is - we could even do a projector screen somewhere large enough for all comers. That old ballroom, maybe? BYO blankets, pillows and movie snacks.
