To all staff and students:

In response to the recent events regarding the disappearance of the island of Attilan, the administration of the school would like to share with you what we know about the situation. Unfortunately, that is not very much at all. Despite the school’s best efforts to contact or track the people that were known to be on the island at the time of its disappearance we have been unable to do so, though this does not prove anything conclusively except the fact that we must continue on with our best efforts.

Several of the mansion’s past or present residents are presumed to have been in Attilan when it disappeared, including John Henry Forge. Search parties have been sent out in the vicinity of the island and any discoveries will be conveyed to you as soon as we are made aware of them. In addition to this, the Ladies Medusa and Crystal were aboard the plane that was destroyed along with their families, and are presumed deceased.

As always in times of difficulties, we wish you to know that you are not alone. There are many resources available to you should you desire to speak with someone – Dr. Samson has been placed on-call for anyone to speak with (even if you have no previous appointments with him), and both the student counselors and myself and Headmaster Summers are available at any time of the day or night. We will continue to do all we can to investigate this occurrence, and any information or news will be passed on to you as we learn it. I know this is a difficult time, but we must be strong. Your friends and the people of Attilan deserve our hope and our dedication right now, and I feel confident in saying that I know we will all do our best to give them this.

- Miss Munroe

To all staff and students:

This is an announcement that Mr. Summers has suffered a powers accident this morning and as a result has gone off-campus for treatment. His classes will be covered by substitutes; any administrative business I will take care of. Thank you for your understanding, please feel free to come to me with any questions or concerns.

-Ms. Munroe.

To all staff and students:

Doubtless many of you have become aware of several bombings in Europe and Israel that took place early this morning. While the news coverage is focusing on the fact that the targets seem to be prominent centers of mutant-related activity, we do not feel that there is a security concern here at the mansion at the moment. However, caution is advised for those of you choosing to go out on the weekend bus trip, especially those of you who are easily visibly identified as mutants.

In addition to this, one of the mansion's residents was directly affected by one of the bombings - Angelo Espinosa was at the Elpis offices in Tel Aviv when the bomb went off. However, we have received confirmation that is he alive and well, so please do not worry. We will relay any further information to you as we receive it. Please do not hesitate to contact myself or Mr. Summers should you wish to discuss these events further.

-Ms. Munroe

To all students:

Please be informed that Marius Laverne and Jennie Stavros have returned to the mansion as of this morning. They are currently in the infirmary, as their situation is still being assessed. No visitors are allowed at the moment.

I thank you for your patience and understanding. As always, please do not hesitate to address any concerns or questions to myself or Mr. Summers.

First meeting of the yearbook and literary magazine group

If you have an interest in photography, art, journalism, writing, or editing, please take note:

The first meeting of the year for the yearbook and literary magazine will take place on Monday, September 18th (one week from today) at 6:30 pm. Regardless of experience level, if you wish to contribute to either of these ventures in either way you are welcome to attend. We will be outlining goals, discussing ideas to make our publications unique and interesting, and laying down some deadlines for the rest of the year.

My hopes for these two endeavours is that they will allow those of you with creative talents to meet other, likeminded students as well as produce a body of work your fellow classmates will enjoy for years to come. Even if you are unsure of how you would like to be involved or what you could do, come! There are opportunities for everyone, and dinner will be provided.

This invitation is open to all Xavier's students for the 2006-2007 school year.

An update as promised:

Mr. Summers was located early this morning and is now back at the mansion - he is a bit worse for his time away, but the medical team is confident he will have a full recovery. Visitors are to be limited at this time, but know that he is back safely, as is everyone else who went to look for him.

Thank you to all who helped in any way - your efforts made all the difference.

School-wide announcement

To all staff and students:

Some of you may have noticed the absence of Mr. Summers from the grounds the last day or so. After some searching, we have reason to believe he may have been involved in something dangerous and has gone missing. Please be assured that we are doing all that we can to find and help him, if need be, and I am sure that he will return home shortly.

If anyone has questions or concerns they are free to come speak with me at any time. I will continue to keep you updated in case of any new developments.

To all staff and students

Marius is in the Medlab in stable condition following what appears to have been a pulmonary arrest. He is in far better condition than he was a few weeks ago, but as of now visitors are still limited. I know many of you will be concerned, but rest assured he is stable and under the watchful eye of Dr. Voght for the time being. If there are any questions or concerns, feel free to come talk to me.

Announcement to all staff and students:

We have received word from the away team that Nathan has been located and the situation is over. They are returning home, Nathan is with them, and everyone is intact. There will be further details in the future, but for now, rest assured that Nathan and the team are well and will be home soon.

To all staff and students:

To those of you who may have heard rumors or whispers of an occurance involving one of our staff members, I would like to give a little information.

Mr. Dayspring left the mansion on a task of his own devising yesterday morning. Since he departed, his father has arrived at the mansion to share some information, and we have received several emails shedding some light on his whereabouts. It seems that all may not be going as well as he hoped, so a team has been dispatched to help him if necessary.

As always, I am grateful for your patience and understanding on these matters, and if anyone has questions or wishes to discuss this further I encourage you to come to my office. I would be happy to speak with you. I know you may be worried about Mr. Dayspring, but please be assured that we will do everything in our power to make sure he returns to the Mansion safely.

To everybody, please note:

Jennifer Stavros' mother passed away late last night in New Mexico. Please join with me in extending our deepest condolences to her and her family. Privacy is always appreciated at a time like this, though if anybody needs to talk you are invited to speak with me or Mr. Haller.

Jenny will be departing for Greece shortly, accompanied by Nathan. Please offer her your support and your discretion. Thank you.

((OOC: Sorry this is so early, gotta head to the airport now!))

To all students:

You are all requested to go to your student handbooks and turn to page 3. You are further reminded that as students here and guests of this school, you are obliged to follow the guidelines you see there; particularly the ones refering to disagreements with other students and the ways to resolve such things.

Violence of any kind is not permitted.

General Announcement

Please disregard the fire alarm that went off earlier, where there is smoke there is not always fire though the food did not survive. Danielle and Marius had an unfortunate mishap with their powers interacting. Lorna took Danielle down to the medlab where she is under mild sedation. Marius is likewise being tended to. Please be aware that no one should touch either of them until these powers problems can be resolved.

Inquiries can be directed to myself or the medical staff.

General notice

Considering most of the staff is busy resting up from yesterday, classes for today are cancelled. Classes will resume tomorrow and Scott's classes will be covered. He keeps meticulous class notes (as you well know) so do expect homeworks to be required at the times which were indicated previously.

And now, I'm going to go do just that as well myself.

We are back.

Sarah was dead when we found her. Unlike the rest of us however, she happens to have a second heart. It kicked in and she revived long enough for Hank to stabilize her and for us to bring her here and transfer her to the medlab.

More news will also be given to you when we have it, as soon as we have it and in it's entirety - when we have it. Please do not try to swarm the medlab after reading this. We do not need to be worrying about keeping Hank's work environment sterile and safe on top of everything else. Trust that he is doing his best for the patient in his care.

As soon as Sarah is awake and able to, we will ensure she has access to the journals. As soon as she can be visited, we will make you aware of this as well.

I request people stay out of my way for the next few hours. Also note that the storm now brewing outside is going to get worse before is eases off. I apologize for the inconvenience.

(no subject) own reasons, I've been largely unavailable since my recent return, except for classes and related queries.

Events of the past week have made me feel a need to retreat, hold myself aloof, for reasons which I'll hope you accept without my discussing them. But believe me, I'm neither unaware nor unsympathetic. And I can't continue in my splendid isolation, although I thank you all for not harassing or questioning me. Your consideration is more appreciated than any of you could know.

So, I'm descending from my ivory tower.

And, to celebrate this momentous occasion, I'd really appreciate some ice cream. What have we got?

I need to ask? I'm unforgivably out of touch!

(no subject)

We've got them.

We're coming home -- we have one last thing to do, which won't take long, but then we're coming home. For good.

It's over now.

There's one more thing everyone else needs to know, but I'll leave it to Scott or the Professor to say.

(no subject)

Okay. We have the Babysitter and crew, so they can all take over posting duties, while I let Jean take a break from flying.

There's been another incident. Allie? Warren? Piotr? Not that this needs to be said, but: absolutely no powers. At all. Even in private, unless it's an absolute emergency.

We're all fine, physically. No injuries.

List of the missing.

One more thing. Someone -- Allison? Warren? -- take a headcount and make up a list of who's at location #1, who's confirmed elsewhere, and who is MIA or hasn't reported in.

(no subject)

All right. Obviously, we have a situation.

First things first -- in case the Babysitter broke the X-Phone, I'll post here. Sit tight; Red and I are coming to get you all. It'll be about an hour.

Secondly, Sam, Kitty, Piotr, Warren -- seems like you've taken charge. Good. Keep everyone at location #1 until Emma and Betsy show up. Emma and Betsy... get yourselves (and Hank?) to location #1 unless you haven't already.

Thirdly -- has anyone heard anything from the Professor and Scott? I hope they just found out what happened and are lying low, but I'd really like to get confirmation of that.

After we collect the Babysitter and his charges, we'll head to location #1 to make more plans.

Everyone, like always: be careful, stay safe, and take care of each other.

We both love you all.
