Instead of Summer Classes...

I've decided to host several field trips over the next few weeks, possibly up until school starts up again officially.

So far it's looking like:

New York. Baltimore. Washington, D.C.. The last two will be over-nighters for obvious reasons. The trips will encompass quite a bit. Not only will we be hitting the museums, but there'll be other site seeing tours as well.

The pier and all it's surrounding goodies in Baltimore. The monuments and zoo in D.C. Also, with the other-night trips, there are some clubs for those who'd like to go (but please realize this would be a school-functioned trip. And I'm leading it. Anyone hung over in the morning gets a rousing wake up call from a set of bag pipes.).

Anyone interested? It's open to all students, and staff, and anyone who needs an image inducer will have one signed out to them for the entire trip.

(Also, if anyone is interested in working on their powers this summer, let me know.)

Did you say museums?

I'm game!

Oh, I got so excited by the prospect of museums I totally skipped the last bit. I've love another view on my mutation, especially yours.

Do you mind?

I'm so there.

So totally there.

The trip would be totally cool and the powers training.

I make a good chaperone...

You've seen my scary face. Don't you think I would make a good chaperone?

And I haven't forgotten we agreed to work on my TK some more this summer. I'm all intrigued now, wondering just how far I can push it. Askani's been making some interesting suggestions.

Hey, I'm in. On the field trips, anyway--figure I already know most of what I need to know about my powers, and anyway I wanna wait a while before finding out any more new things they can do.

Can we get woken up by bagpipes anyway? I like bagpipes.

At last, someone with taste!

You...

[identity profile] x-tarot.livejournal.com 2004-06-17 12:34 pm (UTC)(link)
You are a sick little monkey man. Bagpipes are not a musical instrument, they are a torture device and should be outlawed.

Monkey? :)

[identity profile] x-crowdofone.livejournal.com 2004-06-17 01:50 pm (UTC)(link)
They sound cool.

Besides, you can just see some prehistoric Scot in . . . a cave with beer in it, since they probably hadn't invented pubs yet, thinking to himself, OK, I have these pipes, but I'm sick of blowing the damn things. And hey, I have this bag . . . eight more beers and I'll have a really kickass idea!

I am certain the the invention of bagpipes involved someone, somewhere, being very, very drunk.

Ain't no such animal, Doc.

Not the bagpipes!

Count me in on both. Well, definitely the field trips. Someone will have to talk to Strange about the powers part. But I wouldn't mind getting away from the books and actually use the magic for a change, especially if it means working with other people. And there's always the mutant part that needs work - I'm getting better at controlling what I absorb, but all that goes to pieces as soon as I get near anything big, and I'd like to be able to dump this charm of Rom's eventually.

I'd be happy to volunteer as a chaperone, if you need one.
