Final update about Saturday's incident

Okay, now that I and everybody else are back awake again . . .

Professor Xavier and I have determined that the series of comas Saturday were due to a powers-interaction between me and a mutant we met during the course of Friday's field trip to the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The extent of his evil plans was creating dream scenarios he could use to lift credit card information. Some of the staff brought him back to the school yesterday, and right now he's having a very long talk with the professor about what the incredibly bad career choice shuffling through other people's heads is. That identity theft thing is also kind of an issue. Since he was brought in equally unconscious I think it might be having an impact. Miss Sefton and Dr. Barroso are also here for the rest of the day, so we've got a couple of visitors.

I apologize for my part in the spontaneous comas. The professor and I figured out what the trigger was. My telepathy is pretty insular, so I didn't even realize a reaction like this could be an issue. Really never making that assumption again.

Depends on how personal it is, Crystal. 'Paths tend to have triggers associated with personal issues, so perhaps it's best to accept the Prof knows about it and not press Haller unless he volunteers it.

It's okay. It had to do with the mutant's type of power. Usually he forms scenarios around people's strongest desires. Without getting into detail that's not really relevant, a world where mutancy never existed was just a convoluted means of expression.

Not that the entire thing didn't get pretty convoluted. Apparently the weird breakdown going on at the end was our collective subconscious' way of telling us something wasn't right. If I hadn't been so deep in it I think the random parade would probably have tipped me off.

Very little. Or very little that makes any kind of sense, since I was the linking element and anything he got was filtered through me, and even I wasn't picking up the inside of other people's heads. And even that's fading. Self-preservation for his brain, I think. We should maybe watch out for him to be on the safe side, but right now I'm not too worried. On top of the fact he doesn't have the ambition to go beyond cardgames and credit-stealing anything really sensational he could've gotten from my head about Xavier's and anything else slips pretty nicely to the same total insanity that dictated he spend a big part of the hallucination as a talking seagull. In terms of mutants policing mutants the professor said be merciful this time, because he meant no real harm and his power actually can't do real damage. He's off the hook for ill-judged use of psi unless the professor catches another spike on Cerebro. So that's our position.

Though you know, I only work at a school so I don't know about this kind of thing, but I think maybe identity theft might be illegal.
