I'm about to start something I haven't done before - a full-size acrylic painting. Big. Not on shoes, just regular canvas. I did a whole ton of drawing while I was in Hong Kong and I'm thinking it will be based on some of those fashion sketches. The best part is, I have an excuse to buy more paints!

That sounds like a very interesting project. Acrylic can present some interesting challenges because it dries so quickly - I can see why you would use it for custom shoes. (I am not sure if I ever introduced myself to you - Marie-Ange Colbert. My cousin was your Residential Advisor for a short time, and I remember seeing you in the halls at the school while I was visiting but I was not aware you were an artist!)

If you would like, there is a very good art supplies shop not far from District X that I can recommend.

How is it that I do not have even a single icon of art supplies?

Oils take forever to dry. I think I still have works that are drying in oil from last year. It requires much more patience. I tend to work in oil pastels or pencils myself, and even oil pastels smudge quite a bit unless you cover the work.

I think if you create something from yourself, then you are an artist, even if you may not think you are. It does not require vision, just that you create. And yes, my cousin is quite memorable. ;)

Certainly! (I may also make Artie show off his, because he is taking art classes and I am horrible. He says so often.)
