Hey all,

I intend to go see Peter Pan, tomorrow or thereabouts, but would like some tiny ones to come with me as alibies... The movie has flying English boys and Jason Isaac as Captain Hook... You can find the trailer here.

Special invite to Alison, Miles, Illyana and Shinobi (with company). ;)

You know I'm in. I'll let you know about company once I've gotten a yea or nay.

Alright, company's game, even if Sarah kind of wishes this were an adaptation where Hook would win.

That'd be ace, wouldn't it? More DVDs need to have alternate endings, seriously.

Damn right I do. Captain Hook could kick Peter Pan's ass anyday.

I've got to agree with you there. I mean, Hook's an experienced pirate - he's very good at the pillaging and burning and swashbuckling aspects of the job. Pan's.. Pan. An english kid in glitter and leaves, who (if we go animated) stole Robin Hood's hat.

Wonder if this version has a Smee?

Plus, you can't go wrong with a man with a built in weapon. Flying's for pussies.

Which one's Smee?

Aha, there is a Smee! Ace.

Smee's the Captain's head bumbling-lackey-type. In Hook, he was the bloke Bob Hoskins played, but given the large amounts of Robin Williams in that movie, I don't know if you saw that and I kind of wish I hadn't.

Nope. My Pan experiences stick with the cartoon and that live-action one with the chick as Peter. Both of them made me want to tear my eyes out.

I can relate to that. In the 'toon, Smee was the tiny guy with the blue and white striped shirt, and the specs. Sounded like Winnie the Pooh.

hmm. I'm sure you'll point him out to me when he comes on.

Won't need to, if they wrote the flick proper. Hook'll look displeased, bellow "SMEE!", and he'll toddle up and look nervous.

Well, I do try.

Smee is Hook's right-hand man. *coughs* And in this one --

Never mind. Maybe shouldn't tell you.

No, probably not. I'll figure it out eventually.
