Therefore, I am declaring that there shall be a pick-up softball game out on the diamond in forty-five minutes. I'd try to make this a 'no powers, darnit' event since everyone else pretty much has the advantage over me, but with this crew, I rather doubt that's going to be very successful. Oh well. :)

Yeah, you were pretty much first on the "unfair powers advantages" list. :) Also, Nathan hitting telekinetic homeruns, Monsieur Beaubier getting around the basepaths in less than a second, and so forth.

Oh, come on, aside from the perfect split-second coordination, I'm not all that good an infielder and I can't pitch anything but fastballs, so you'd probably win eventually. :)

The basics are relatively simple. Have you seen baseball on television? It's like that, only hitting is a lot easier because the ball is thrown underhand instead of overhand. Granted, there's also fast-pitch softballers who can throw really fast underhand, but for a casual game like this (at least, I can hope it _stays_ casual), I doubt that'll be a problem.

Not unless you try teleporting around the bases. It's not that hard to get the hang of, you'll get used to it pretty quick. :)
