About time I did this, really...
Sep. 15th, 2004 07:04 pmIf there's still sufficient interest (considering the length of time since our last meeting I figured I had to ask) I'd be happy to start up the Askani group again. Thursdays, possibly, during the term, rather than Fridays? I don't want to crimp anyone's social life. (Especially mine, as I plan on actively working to develop one this fall. Go me!)
In any case, whether it's Thursday or Friday, this week would involve, at the suggestion of several ghosts-in-my-head who used to be teachers, a discussion of Askani methods of education. Sneak preview: they were highly, highly weird. But seriously, for a fairly advanced culture they still relied quite a bit on the oral tradition. The really interesting part is what was passed down in what format and why they did it that way.
So, I've arranged to have our former room back. Shall we say 7ish?

Count me in. It's not like my Fridays are going to be that social until Ocotber any way, but once the grounding's over, I intend to make up for lost time...
Whoo!
Just point me to a seat and I'm there, Teach.
