Sep. 26th, 2004 02:53 pmWho'd be up for a Star Wars night? The original trilogy DVDs are out soon (or possibly are already, not sure) and it's been a while since we had an official mansion movie night.
Anyone interested?

Date: 2004-09-26 07:37 am (UTC)After having to practically drag you out to the benefit last night, I should not be surprised.

Date: 2004-09-26 09:26 am (UTC)Y'know. That's funny. The original guy played Anakin's ghost was named Sebastian Shaw. So Shinobi's probably all in favor of the change. :)

Date: 2004-09-26 11:46 am (UTC)You think your dad leaned on Lucas any to make the change, though? So that the name Sebastian Shaw would forever be associated with bad muttonchops instead of wheezy dying guys and/or translucent blue bathrobe-wearers?

Date: 2004-09-26 12:46 pm (UTC)Actually, hey, since you like "The District," mind if I float some dialogue past you sometime for one of the TV show ideas I'm playing with? I'm sort of stealing the premises of successful shows and adding mutants, right now, to get practice for coming up with my own ideas later, so there's Buffy The Mutant, Seinmutantfeld, and Law and Order: Now With More Mutants.
And yeah, that's how the folders are organized on my computer. I'm bad at titles. ;)

Date: 2004-09-26 03:27 pm (UTC)Or am I letting my midwestern roots show again?
Angelo, there're copies of the original original on VHS _and_ laser disk (psh. Laser disk. Who uses laser disk?) in the library, as well as VHS of the remastered (but unedited) originals. And I think the Professor ordered the DVDs of the quasi-atrocities, but I'm not sure. We got another big box from Amazon the other day, but I didn't have time to go through it yet.
