Since we've had new people move in, and some folks who've apparently forgotten the routine:

1) If you've got a maintenance problem with something in the house, there's a number of options:
-email me through the system if it's not an emergency.
-Find me around the grounds.
-Page me through the intercom system if it's an absolute emergency. Or if you feel like announcing that you tried to flush a sanitary napkin and now your bathroom is a lake.
-Come knock on the boathouse door if it's after seven. That means KNOCK. Knocking is not done with LASERS.

2) If you break something, you're going to be expected to help fix it. This isn't some kind of Gulag labor camp punishment, it's a matter of simple responsibility. No one so far has died or lost a finger from a little hard work here, and from what I can tell, some of you have actually LEARNED something. I even heard a rumor that someone changed their own light bulbs the other day.

Also - it's getting into the colder months. We're expecting the lake to freeze over this winter, and if it's thick enough, there'll be the possibility for ice skating again. The key word there is "if". Use some common sense - if you feel like a dip in ice-cold water and winding up as the next occupant of the medlab's wonderful facilities, bring someone who can pull your ass out of the lake. No one wants to see Mister Marko play lifeguard, trust me on this.

This is why we usually sweet talk Bobby into going over the lake before we skate.

Hey, I learned about sandpapering. Not surprising, considering I had to do pretty much all of it...

I helped

Well, okay, I helped spackle. But I did some of the sandpapering as well.

And don't forget the carrying. I learned all about the carrying. You and your brittle bones that won't heal fast... :P

Least you didn't have Marko biting your head off every few seconds. Seriously needs anger management classes.

I think I had some flyers around here...

Are you deaf or something? You didn't hear him calling me a junkie every five minutes?

I think I was too busy listening to him call me a disrespectful brat. Then there was the stuff he was calling me in Vietnamese...I'm not entirely sure I want to know what those were. I mean, was it my fault I dropped the bucket of spackle all over him? I only laughed a little too.

And found the fliers! I think I'll leave them on his porch.

Since he's reading this, probably not the brightest idea to say what you're up to, Lee. Just a word of friendly advice and all...

I'll have you know I'd look very good in just a tool belt.

No one here is that lucky though.
