Security precautions
Nov. 8th, 2004 08:54 amThese will be in effect for the next week at the absolute most. Hopefully by - or ideally, well before - that point we should have a clearer idea of what exactly happened and what to expect, and be able to get back to what approaches for normal around here.
1) For the time being, no non-essential off-campus travel. This restriction in particular will be lifted as soon as humanly possible, folks, I promise, but I'm afraid I've got to insist on it for the time being.
2) If you do have to go off-campus, you will have a staff escort. None of the teachers will be going off-campus on their own either, so not to worry - this applies to everyone. If you're off-campus, keep your phone handy and don't hesitate to hit your panic button if you feel you need to. A false alarm is not the end of the world.
Apart from that, just keep an eye on the journals and an 'ear' out for any telepathic announcements, just in case. It would be Nathan making them, incidentally, not the Professor, so be aware of that as well. If you 'hear' anything from him, it's coming directly from me so make sure you follow instructions promptly.
That said, I want to make it really clear to all of you that we don't have any evidence that suggests there might be any more trouble. Best-case scenario is that I come back in a day or two and confess to having been overly paranoid, but at this point I think it's better to be safe than sorry. At least for the next little while.

Date: 2004-11-08 02:59 pm (UTC)I talked to Jono about it last night. I said that I didn't think I could stay here any more, and that I was thinking about leaving before the end of the week. Like I said before, I'm still not sure where I'm going, short of "away".
I should put this in a post. Make everyone happy.
