Some of you might have notice Hank has been increasingly forgetful and irritable over the past few weeks, missing classes and whatnot. It turns out that he's actually suffering an illness rather than anything else - it's effecting his ability to concentrate and his emotional state.

As of today Hank will be on medical leave from his medlab duties, and from teaching. I'll be attempting to arrange coverage of his classes and my own, but in the meantime I ask for the patience and understanding of his students.

Medlab helpers - I'd be much obliged if I could see you all in my office this evening. I'm going to need help covering all the shifts. Moira's been contacted but as yet I'm not sure when she's coming back.

At this point we're not positive what this illness is, however it is not contagious, and I'd ask everyone to be supportive of him during what's going to be a difficult time.

It might not be contagious but if his illness is rooted in the school, then that's just as bad. Do we know what caused the illness? Is it going to get worse? You said it went after his concentration, well then logically it would-

If it was rooted in the school, more people would be showing symptoms, considering how fast it seems to be moving. It's possible this is something Hank's picked up outside, either at one of his external research places, or even on a mission. And if it was communicable, then I'd be showing signs myself, given the amount of contact I've had and I'm fine.

There's no danger to anyone else, as far as we can tell. Panicking is not going to help the situation, Paige. Please calm down.

Sorry if I came across short, hon - I haven't had a lot of sleep, and I'm trying to do the work of three doctors. The last thing we need is people fleeing the school because they think there's something here that will make them sick, and that's what you seemed to be trying to say.

If you want to help, I've got some biochemical analysis that needs running?

I brought up the point. You debunked the theory. That's all that needed to be done; did you think I'd start running through the halls demanding evacuation even if you'd answered my questions logically? That other people would fail to read your explanation?

You're forgetting who you have in this school, ma'am. You take care of what is most important, and shove the rest of the stuff on us. No one will mind, in fact it will give us something to do. Make us feel useful.

Angelo and I are finishing up the last five minutes of CSI and then I'll be right down.
