I'm not going to sit here with a thumb up my arse and do nothing while she's there. So I'm going after her, with or without permission, and bringing her back.

If someone wants to help, I'm sure I can nick a bigger car.

I can appreciate not wanting to sit around and do nothing while Sarah goes off to likely get herself killed. I'm not close to her at all, but I know that I'd feel the same if Jamie, Kitty, or Angie were going off and doing something spectacularly idiotic.

That being said, have we not learned our lesson about posting things publicly where the adults can see it? Does the brouhaha over the whole underage drinking thing ring a bell? You should have at _least_ posted this in the kids' community, and even then there's no guarantees Doc McCoy couldn't have a backdoor to keep an eye out for lunacy just like this. With this journal system, assume the people you least want to see something (in this case, the adults) will see it.

I hope she doesn't get killed just as much as you do, but running off half-cocked solves nothing.

Okay. Everybody's got different instincts, I get that.

But mine, and Jono's and Amanda's, is pretty much "go get my friend out of whatever trouble she's landed herself in, myself". Never said it was rational, and I'd probably've thought better of it with or without anybody telling me to, at least well enough to put a proper plan together.

Dude, I've had my ass kicked for me more times then I like to mention. So, yeah, my first instincts are different.

Dude, it's not a bad thing that you were willin' to go after a friend. Was just, questioning the methods, ya know? We got people here trained for this stuff, and believe me, I know I ain't half as good yet as most of them. My first instinct is to use the best person for the job.

Thanks, Dude. God, this totally sucks. I know I'm seemin' all callous and shit when Sarah's out there in trouble. Guess I'm just thinkin' that she'll be able to take care of herself till the x-types get there. What she doesn't need is born hostages suddenly appearing out of nowhere thinkin' they've come to save the day, only to find out that military types tend to mow through kids like they were paper.

Got almost no trainin', no matter how good we think we are, we don't know shit. Got no idea what we're up against, no nothin'. You can't plan shit when you have no idea of any of the variables...and God, I just realised I'd actually been payin' attention in self-defence class...Dude.
