The following is solid proof that two people with a lot of money should never be allowed alone together, because plotting happens.

On Saturday, September the 25th, there will be a HeliX event held at Piper House near Lake George, Greenhaven, NY. It's a formal benefit, so if anyone wanted an excuse to go spend money on a nice suit or dress, now's your chance. Parents are more than welcome to come, though they'll need to make their own accomodations - I can lend a hand, if they need it. The event starts at seven PM.

We're looking for volunteers to come out a day early to help set the house up for the party - just drop Paul or myself a note if you're interested in volunteering.

Am also volunteering for Jamie. He wants to go to this. He wants to help set it up. If he thinks he doesn`t he should come talk to me and I`ll convince him otherwise.

Not at all. Part of being on the team is learning to operate under many varied conditions. Formal occasions are one of them. Consider it part of your training if it makes you feel better. You'll need to be able to look the part, any part. I'll help you out, of course.

I would look the part. I would wear the black pants and the white shirt and the vest. Possibly the tie, topped off with well shined shoes. That is the part of the crew.

Transportation will be provided from the school for students and any HeliX members who want to meet here and let us know in advance. A shopping trip into the city will be arranged for anyone who wants to go, and the tux people can come out here and chase down anyone who doesn't want to be bothered going in to the shops.

Volunteers will go out to the house early where they will be plied with junkfood and pizza and so on. There will be facilities for getting ready there at the house, we'll make sure the correct rooms are left open.

The event is going to be licensed, but the bar will be in a separate room from the main party.

A pity, I enjoy getting to wear a nice tuxedo and escorting my companion across the dance foor. I'm fairly sure I could teach her the steps ... if it were permitted for me to go.

He's the one who told me that I was not welcome at this time to any HeliX meetings.

I am operating under the assumption that this party is a HeliX event.

I understand why he does not want me there. An uncharitable description would be that he's petty and vindictive. A more charitable description would be that I am disruptive to the love-fests that apparently are HeliX. My brand of hard-headed practicality is unwelcome there.

And, above all, I'm an empath, and my power frightens the living hell out of him.

Not a HeliX event. A benefit for it. It is an excuse for Shinobi and I to spend money and not feel like complete wastrels while doing it.

Whether you may attend or not is up to Professor Xavier, I believe. I can think of no reason to exclude you.

Sure, I think for the most part I'll let you all figure out what you want to do for decoration. Given the colour of the room, champagne and gold would be nice but you can get away with almost anything, really. Want to go take a look at the place?
