Date: 2003-11-24 06:04 am (UTC)I suppose I probably sound quite silly, but I do remember Marie-Ange talking about Dr. Essex sometimes. He encouraged her about things and I suppose they must have spent a lot of time talking. I didn't think very much about it then, but perhaps I should have.
He made me nervous, but mostly for the same kind of reasons the whole school did. I would have gone golfing with him. Maybe 'tis lucky for me the only time he suggested was during church.
I suppose 'twould be hard not to believe if someone you do trust and you know is in medicine says someone will die unless he operates on them.
But I pray he's as good a surgeon as he thinks.
